Who we are...

So, what kind of church is New Life?

We are an evangelical, charismatic church and a part of the New Frontiers family of churches.

Newfrontiers is a worldwide family of churches together on a mission, currently approaching 500 churches worldwide.

With a passionate commitment to build the church according to New Testament principles, we believe that the most effective form of evangelism is worked out from strong local churches.

Churches where each member participates, the gifts of the Spirit are outworked, where there is joy in caring one for the other, where there is a desire to make a difference in society and to reach those in need.

What We Believe

We believe that the church is not a building, but Christians joined and gathered together by their faith in Jesus Christ and the love He gives us for one another.

Knowing Jesus means knowing that our sins - past, present and future - have been forgiven. Instead of just knowing about God, we have a real experience of His love and power transforming our lives day by day.

Jesus came to earth to show us how to live - but He also came to die, taking God's punishment for our sins. God accepted this sacrifice and raised Jesus from the dead! Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life". JOHN 3:16 NIV

Believing in Jesus is an act of faith. It is trusting Him to forgive us for our sins and choosing to turn away from our old life. Jesus described it as being "Born again".

Elders and Trustees

New Life Church is a charity and has to adhere to common charity rules. One of these is to have trustees and submit annual accounts.

Leadership is about serving and our best example is Jesus himself. New Life Church is lead by Michael Aguilera. In time a team of elders will be appointed to oversee, serve, care and shepherd the church.

History

New Life Church has been registered for around 14 years. We began by meeting in peoples home and then moved to various premises over the years and have been at our present premises for around 4 years.
